Rendell previews $282 million in budget cuts, natural gas tax to close FMAP gap.

  Governor Rendell today proposed a 1.9 percent freeze for many parts of budget, including $5 million from courts, $6 million from Legislature. On Wednesday, Aug. 11, a team from Pennsylvania will present its proposal for education reform to the reviewers scoring its federal Race to the Top application in Washington, D.C.
