A vacancy for a Precision Machining and Computer Aided Manufacturing Instructor exists at the Mount Joy campus of the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center beginning the 2022-2023 school year. The purpose of the position of LCCTC Instructor is to provide theoretical and hands-on instruction to high school students in activities and competencies designed to promote social, intellectual and employment growth. The Instructor will be responsible for developing and conducting learning programs and associated materials for students with the ultimate goal of producing entry-level skilled and employable students. This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to plan, manufacture, assemble, test, and repair parts, mechanisms, machines, and structures in which materials are cast, formed, shaped, molded, heat treated, cut, twisted, pressed, fused, stamped, or worked.

Qualifications:
• At least 4 years’ wage earning precision machining and computer aided manufacturing experience
• Ability to pass the Occupational Competency Assessment in precision machining
• Complete college level coursework to obtain and maintain a Career & Technical Teaching certificate
• Child Abuse, PA State Criminal, and FBI Clearances within 1 year of hire date
• High School diploma or equivalency
• Able to use and maintain machinery and equipment specific to trade

Duties & Responsibilities
•Develop appropriate course materials and aids including total written curriculum, lesson plans, instruction sheets, visual aids, and other related materials
•Manage equipment, tools, and other supplies needed to support established curriculum
•Evaluate student progress and develop reports and other feedback materials/assessments
•Designs instruction and provides opportunities for students to develop safety practices, professionalism, positive work ethics, and occupational skills
•Uses professional judgment to provide and maintain an educational environment conducive to learning

Schedule: Monday- Friday; approximately 7:40- 3:20; 189 days per year
Salary: Emergency/ Intern Cert: $51,915- $53,715; Additional compensation for those holding a Voc I or Voc II cert
