POSITION: Anticipated Second Instructor of Health Care Careers
LOCATION: Upper Bucks County Technical School, Perkasie, PA
STARTING DATE: For the 2022-2023 School Year
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Registered Nurse (RN) with a current PA Nursing License; OR any listed license/certified healthcare professional who has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree prepared in their field of practice and currently licensed by the PA Department of State in Chiropractic, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Osteopathic Medicine, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Podiatry, or Psychology. A candidate must have four (4) years of related wage-earning work experience and must be willing to complete necessary coursework to earn a career and technical teaching certification and professional development activities to enhance the program.PDE (Career and Technical Level I) Instructional Certification 7-12 – 2202 – Heath Assistant for CIP 51.0899 –preferred; prior teaching experience not required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide quality occupational instruction to secondary career and technical students to prepare them for a successful career path in the fields of Health Care Careers. Duties include program development and modifying curriculum to remain current and effective instruction and supervision of all students. Build professional relationships with local business and industry partners to establish potential work sites for students. Maintain appropriate professional certificates and licenses as required. Possess excellent communication skills.
Capable of fulfilling all job responsibilities as indicated in the UBCTS Instructor Job Description.
