POSITION: Exercise Science and Sports Technology Instructor
LOCATION: Upper Bucks County Technical School, Perkasie, PA
STARTING DATE: Starting on or before the 2022-2023 School Year
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Exercise Science and Sports Technology. PDE (Career and Technical Level I) Instructional Certification 7-12 – 2223 – Rehabilitation Aide for CIP 51.2604 –preferred. Requirements for entering a Rehabilitation Aide certification program in approved teacher education institutions. A current license/certification by the PA Department of State in one of the following disciples: Athletic Trainer, Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant. Must have 4 years of wage-earning experience in the occupation.
DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:Provide quality occupational instruction to secondary career and technical students to prepare them for a successful career path in the fields of Exercise Science and Sports Technology. Duties include program development and modifying curriculum to remain current and effective instruction and supervision of all students. Build professional relationships with local business and industry partners to establish potential work sites for students. Maintain appropriate professional certificates and licenses as required. Willingness to pursue teaching certification and professional development activities to enhance the program as well as self. Possess excellent communication skills.
Capable of fulfilling all job responsibilities as indicated in the UBCTS Instructor Job Description.
