SkillsUSA PENNSYLVANIA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

 

 

The SkillsUSA Pennsylvania organization is seeking an energetic and committed individual as Executive Director of SkillsUSA Pennsylvania. This individual should possess organizational, communication, project management, fiscal management knowledge and operational organization as well as be resourceful and able to generate funding from Industry and grants. This position is responsible for creating positive professional and competitive experiences for Career and Technical Education students across the state of Pennsylvania while also being the spokesperson for the State Chapter, effectively implementing statewide SkillsUSA programs, managing and supporting SkillsUSA advisors.  It is critical that this person carry out all duties in alignment with the SkillsUSA mission.  

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

This position requires leadership experience, with preferred additional experience in career and technical education and/or student organizations. Successful candidates will have had experience with event planning/management and organization, social media management, working with young people and communicating with schools across the state in ways that are accessible for a general audience. Candidates are required to obtain all necessary clearances and background checks. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB 

  • Manages new and existing relationships with industry and post-secondary partners. 

  • Develops and maintains single and multi-year forecasts of financial needs and budgetary projections and provides all documentation to the Board of Directors. 

  • Manages the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania website, scoring system, and social media accounts. 

  • Hosts Board of Directors meetings quarterly. 

  • Engages and informs SkillsUSA Chapters and Regions across the state. 

  • – Attend and coordinate SkillsUSA Pennsylvania delegation at the National Conference 

  • – Attend and support Fall Leadership conferences throughout Pennsylvania 

  • – Support District Competitions 

  • Manages and oversees annual Pennsylvania State Leadership Conference, including working directly with Contest Chairs, State Conference Officers, and Alumni Association.

  • IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: SkillsUSA Pennsylvania Board of Directors 

  •  

  • WORK LOCATION: For the right applicant, this position will allow for remote working accommodations, residency in Pennsylvania is required. SkillsUSA Pennsylvania will provide an organization-specific laptop and mobile phone for the management of all digital media.
