SUN Area Technical Institute is looking for a permanent full-time (10-month/year) Instructor for our new Mechatronics Technology program. This position will start immediately to write curriculum and organize the program for the first class of the 2022-23 SY.
 
Must be familiar with pneumatics, hydraulics, basic mechanical power, electrical motors and controls, digital circuit, semiconductors, single and three-phase transformers, programmable logic controls, and robotics.

The selected candidate must possess the following PDE certificate: Electromechanical/Electromechanical Engineering Technology/Technician, CIP Code: 15.0403 (Occupational Competency Area:  Electro-Mechanical Technology 2109) or have the following qualifications to obtain the required certificate:

Four-plus years of recent full-time wage-earning work experience beyond the training period in automated systems and mechatronics, electrical/mechanical, or fluid power. Must complete PDE required course work and certification process, if not already certified. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage and motivate high school students.
