At the present time, a vacancy for a Work-Based Learning and Outreach Coordinator exists at the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center. The position will work at all campus locations and report to the Principal of the Brownstown Campus. The primary responsibilities of the Work-Based Learning and Outreach Coordinator (“Coordinator”) is to provide administrative leadership of Lancaster County Career & Technology Center’s cooperative education program in conjunction with the assistant principals, and to supervise and actively manage the placement of students at businesses to receive practical training experiences in their chosen occupational trades fields on behalf of the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center.

Qualifications:
• 5 years’ experience in Career and Technical Education
• Bachelors Degree in Work Force Education and Development, Masters degree preferred
• Cooperative Education Certification
• Administrative Certification preferred
• Valid Drivers License

Duties and Responsibilities: (For full details, see attached job description)
• Provide administrative leadership to build and maintain strong working relationships with local employers to provide and expand work-based training opportunities for students.
• Serve as a knowledge resource for local employers on both student training opportunities and state and federal legal requirements that apply to students work-based learning programs.
• Actively manage and review student eligibility to participate in work-based learning opportunities including, but not limited to, contacting technical teachers for approval and reviewing grades, attendance, and discipline records.
• Prepare, maintain and file necessary paperwork such as training agreements, training plans, work permits, reports and any other pertinent documents related to students work-based learning programs in a manner that complies with applicable JOC, State, and Federal policies guidelines.
• Observe and actively monitor students participating in work-based learning programs, and maintain accurate records of student progress in coordination with CTE instructor for grade reports.
• License to drive and the ability to regularly commute between campuses.
• Regularly visit work-based learning program locations to ensure safety conditions for students.
• Work Cooperatively with other staff members to promote and support the student work-based learning program both inside and outside the classroom.
• Provide assistance and support for outreach programs including presentations, tours and student visits to promote the student work-based learning program and the LCCTC generally.
• Contact students’ parents and guardians on matters related to work-based learning programs.
• Perform other duties assigned related to Perkins Act funding, including submission of time and efforts logs in compliance with Perkins Guidelines.
• Develop, conduct, and report on employer survey and compile student placement data to report to the administrative team and JOC on work-based learning programs.
• Serve as the primary liaison between students, employers, CTE instructor, and the administration for the student work-based learning program.
• Attend JOC meeting and school functions, as needed.

Salary:
$66,791-80,149 annual; based on experience and education
This is a grant funded position.

Schedule:
Monday- Friday; 40 hours per week; 260 days per year
