Job Summary:

The Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of all training programs that relate to customized training for business/industry and government. The Workforce Development Coordinator shall oversee the programs as identified below:

Starting Salary: $37,927.50-$45,513.00 based upon experience
Essential Responsibilities:

1. Workforce Development Responsibilities:

2. Work with Director of Higher & Continuing Education to establish goals and objectives
3. Partner with local business and industry to inform and establish training and retraining commensurate with local, state, and federal guidelines and needs.
4. Work with area businesses to increase the number of clients utilizing services and customized training through the LCCTC.
5. Evaluate and make recommendations concerning current and future customized training services provided to business and industry

6. Develop, review and approve curriculum development and training materials
7. Select instructional methods and media in keeping with effective training
8. Identify and write training proposals and training grant applications
9. Assist adults interested in exploring new careers and/or upgrading skills through interfacing with companies, social services, and funding agencies

2. Program Management Responsibilities

o Hire instructional personnel, when necessary
o Work with Institutional Registrar to create classes in SIS
o Determine and order textbooks, equipment, and instructional supplies that match program requirements
o Ensure accountability for lab usage including tools, equipment, physical facilities and security.
o Monitor instructor satisfaction

3. Reconcile and report monthly financial status

o Manage budgets for customized training packages

4. As required:

o Proctor Assessments
o Teach Courses
o Prepare reports
