Management Information Systems/IT Programming Teacher

Type: full-time

The Delaware County intermediate unit seeks a Management Information Systems/IT Programming Teacher for our CTE program located in Aston, PA.


The job of the Management Information Systems/IT Programming Teacher is to provide support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional needs of students; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students’ parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.


Key characteristics of probable candidates include problem solving, application of technical knowledge and skills to support problem solving, design and development of software solutions, ability to deliver a basis of understanding in programming for business, mobile, and video gaming, knowledge of databases.


Candidates should also be able to display experience related to the program of study task summary as follows:


A program that prepares individuals to use technology to improve the efficiency of companies and organizations. Students in this field use computer networks, systems and databases to organize, store and analyze data relevant to business practices. This program includes instruction in computer design/architecture, programming, coding, and hardware and software problem solving. Learning tasks include instruction in cost and accounting information systems, management control systems, personnel information systems, data storage and security, and management information systems policy and planning.


Candidates must hold a Vocational I certification or have a minimum of 4 years of work experience and be willing to earn a Vocational Teaching Certificate.
