Assistant Division Director- Career, Technical & Customized Education

Assistant Division Director- Career, Technical & Customized Education At the present time, a vacancy exists for an Assistant Division Director within the Career, Technical & Customized Education division at the Chester County Intermediate Unit.

The Assistant Director of Career, Technical & Customized Education (CTCE) division provides leadership for the Intermediate Unit’s career and technical education programs and workforce initiatives, as well as assisting with customized educational programs and the Chester County Practical Nursing Program. Primary responsibilities of this position include overseeing the daily operation and implementation of instruction, assessment and course content of the three Chester County Technical College High Schools and the Practical Nursing Program.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Administration.

•Principal’s Certificate required.

• Minimum of five years of administrative experience as a principal required.

Professional Certifications:

• Secondary Principal’s Certification

• Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility (preferred)

• Vocational Director’s Certification (preferred)

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the internal implementation and monitoring of CTCE instructional programs and daily operational support, monitoring and evaluation.

2. Indirect supervision and evaluation of the building leadership teams, indirect evaluation of Perkins staff and CTE instructional personnel.

3. Provide leadership for the development, implementation and revision of the program of study curriculum, task list development, industry credentials and monitoring of BCTE requirements for reporting.

4. Responsible for implementation of engaging, quality instruction through the development and monitoring of an effective instructional staff to include professional development support and differentiated staff training.

5. Responsible for the retention and academic performance of students through the implementation of a quality assessment systems and monitoring the performance of students through the portfolio of CTE assessments, project-based demonstrations.

6. Responsible for the elements of a CTE program that include career development, involvement in a career and technical student organization, and work-based learning, connecting with community resources and working with community-based projects or initiatives.

Salary Range: 2021 - 2022 range: Administrators, Band 19: $127,045 - $158,806

Schedule:

Monday- Friday 12 months (260 days)
