Classification: Exempt

The College is seeking a full-time Enrollment Services College Recruiter. The individual must be a responsible, independent worker who can relate to young adults and successfully communicate with diverse populations. A major part of the position will focus on recruiting students with significant financial need and traveling throughout Pennsylvania.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assist the Director of Admissions in student recruitment and marketing the College to potential students across the state.
• Attend college fairs, career conferences, school seminars, job fairs, and other meetings representing Thaddeus Stevens.
• Work with high school counselors, teachers, area vocational/technical school personnel, alumni, and others to facilitate their acting as advocates to potential students.
• Communicate with prospective students, parents, counselors, and others in writing via phone, personal visits, virtual visits, and social media.
• Ability to present detailed information to audiences of varying sizes. Including but not limited to how to apply, requirements to apply, general financial aid information, and program-specific information.
• Assist the tour team with on-campus tours, open houses, and other events for students, parents, high school personnel, and college partners to facilitate student enrollment.
• Evening and occasional weekend work required.
• Reports to the Director of Admissions.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in sales, marketing, and/or post-secondary recruiting
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
• A student-focused attitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to represent the college in a professional manner.
• A demonstrated understanding of and experience working with a diverse student population.
• Must exhibit an understanding and commitment to the mission of the College.
