NURSE ADMINISTRATOR
Responsibilities and Qualifications

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for leading mission and administration of the Practical Nursing Program (PNP).
• Maintains Program compliance with accreditation and approval agencies.
• PNP fiscal operations – Develop and manage budget, maintenance of fund balance.
• Faculty and Staff - Hires, supervises, disciplinary action.
• Student – management from admission to graduation.
• Curriculum monitoring, resource management, policy development and implementation.
• Financial aid administrator and maintains compliance with Title IV regulations.
• Oversees maintenance of PNP building and resources with support of the FCCTC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Nurse Administrator (NA) shall:
• be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• have a current unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• have a master’s degree in nursing with a focus in nursing education.
o Will consider RN with BSN in process of completing MSN, education focus.
• have work experience in nursing practice, nursing education (practical nursing education preferred), and education administration.
• have knowledge of financial aid administration for Title IV programs for student aid.
o Will consider candidate without experience in financial aid, however, must be willing to complete Federal Financial Aid Training

It is preferable to have:
• Professional CPR with AED certification.
• Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification.
