Schedule: Monday –Friday 11:30 am – 8:00 pm; approximately 40 hours per week.
Salary/Wage: $17.00 per hour, with increase/adjustment consideration commensurate with qualifications and experience.
General Description:
York County School of Technology has an immediate need for an experienced Computer Technician. Candidate must be self-motivated, mature communicator with great social skills and a strong desire to learn and grow. Must be outgoing and detail oriented. The Computer Technician is expected to present a professional and positive image as a representative of the school and its programs. The selected candidate will provide support to both York County School of Technology as well as the Adult & Continuing Education Center.
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
• Minimum of three years work-related Windows 10 experience.
• Familiarity with SchoolDude or other Help Desk Software management systems
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM or other computer management/imaging systems.
• Experience with Interactive Panels and Interactive Projectors.
• Help Desk phone and customer service experience.
• Previous experience with Cisco Networking desired.
• Critical-thinker problem-solver.
• MUST be highly organized, comfortable with working independently. Exemplary planning & time management skills.
• Must meet all legal requirements, submit all criminal background checks, clearance statements, and the like, established by law.
• Valid Driver’s License.
Key job functions include:
• Investigate and resolve technology issues that are submitted through SchoolDude tickets and helpdesk emails.
• Installation of Windows, IOS, Android and other school related software.
• Setup and configuration of PC’s, Laptops, Chromebooks, Macs, and Tablets on the network.
• Installation and support of applications such as MS Office, Antivirus, Graphic packages, etc.
• Troubleshooting, research, resolution, and follow-up on technology issues.
• Log and track help desk calls and emails using the SchoolDude system.
• Technology hardware repair.
• Setup and maintenance of Printers, Interactive Projectors and SmartBoards, Document Cameras and other classroom technology.
• Prepares and updates system procedures.
• Performs technology inventory and updates as necessary.
