Continuing Education Welding Instructor

 

Berks Career & Technology Center’s Continuing Education Department is looking for a part-time Welding Instructor to start immediately. 

 

The selected candidate will provide theory and hands-on lab instruction to students in three diverse training programs, including a 15-month comprehensive welding course, a 500 hour AWS SENSE (School Excelling through National Skill Standards Education) program and short term classes that include basic, intermediate and advanced training.  A strong background in welding safety is required. Experience in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) or oxyacetylene welding is preferred. Certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) is required.
