Cosmetology Instructor

A vacancy for a Cosmetology Instructor exists within the Division of Career, Technical & Customized Education Technical College High School – Brandywine Campus.


  • PA State Board of Cosmetology Teaching License, and PA Department of Education Teaching Vocational I or II Certificate or qualify to enroll in a certification program.
  • Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality occupational instruction to students grades 9-12, in Cosmetology skill competencies.
  • Plan and develop curriculum and daily lesson plans incorporating industry approved standards skills based on the PA Department of Education approved curriculum and in accordance with PA State Board of Cosmetology Regulations. Monitor and assess students theory and skill performance based on tests, quizzes, projects, and means of formative assessment.
  • Maintain accurate records related to student achievement, attendance and other systems of measuring student performance using computer technology.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, conduct, attendance, and other matters of performance related skills.
  • Other assignments requested by the principal or designee.


  • Monday through Friday; 7.5 hours per day; 10 months per year.
