The Dauphin County Technical School invites applications for an Emergency and Protective Services Instructor starting August 11, 2020. Position includes delivering instruction to high school age students using the PDE approved Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting (CIP 43.999) Program of Study. Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of verifiable industry experience in areas such as Law Enforcement, Firefighting, Emergency Medical Technician, or Military. Candidates who possess associated Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting, or Emergency Services certifications preferred. The successful candidate must be willing to pursue and maintain industry recognized credentials and/or certification including participation in technical seminars, workshops, and classes related to the occupation. Must be willing to complete necessary coursework to earn vocational teaching certification, or currently possess a PA Vocational Teaching Certificate. The successful candidate must also be able to relate well with high-school aged students, work independently, prepare lessons based upon a prescribed curriculum, and have excellent communication skills. Salary dependent upon experience. Full benefit package.
