Eastern Center for Arts and Technology, a public career and technical school, has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform grounds and building level maintenance including trouble-shooting tasks in one or more fields (painting, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing).


Essential Functions:

  • Repair, monitor and support all school equipment
  • Maintain exterior property, including snow removal
  • Plan and manage projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with renovations, installations and inventory management
  • Monitor Facilities Help Desk requests
  • Perform general cleaning and other work-related duties as assigned by the onsite Facilities Manager



  • Basic understanding of carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and able to multi-task
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills; customer service oriented
  • Demonstration of problem-solving abilities
  • Computer skills required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Background check and clearances as required by school code
  • Clean driving record

Eastern Center for Arts and Technology is located in the Northeast suburbs of Philadelphia, one mile from Exit 343 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.


Terms:               Salary in accordance with qualifications and experience. Start date 7/1/2020.
