Heavy Equipment Operations


Berks Career & Technology Center is looking for a permanent full-time (10-month/year) Welding Technology Instructor at our West Campus in Leesport, PA and a Heavy Equipment Operations Instructor at our East Campus in Oley PA at the opening of the 2020-2021 school term. 


Position goal for both of these positions: will provide quality occupational instruction to secondary career and technical students that will prepare them for a successful career path in the fields of Welding or Heavy equipment operations. Potential candidates for either instructor position must have 4+ years wage earning work experience in the welding or heavy equipment operations field to include 8000+ documented hours over the past 10 years. Possess good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage and motivate high school students. Must complete PDE required course work and certification process, if not already certified in the following areas:


Welding Technology Instructor Qualifications: PDE CIP: 48.0508 Occupational Competency Code 2079.  Refer to Job ID# 280.


Heavy Equipment Technology Instructor Qualifications PDE CIP: 49.0202 Occupational Competency Code 2596. Refer to Job ID#281.
