Communications and Outreach Coordinator

 

The York County School of Technology is seeking candidates with Public Relations and/or Communications experience for an immediate vacancy.  This is a year-round salaried position, working on-site at the school.

Qualified candidates will meet the following: 

  1. Two years of satisfactory or better experience in the public relations field demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills that foster good professional work relationships between the staff, administration and the public is preferred.
  2. Possession of a degree in public relations, communications, or related field.
  3. High level of organizational skills, strategic thinking, self-motivation, and utilization of team input.
  4. Demonstrated experience in public relations including writing reports, new releases, brochures, video presentations, feature articles for newspapers and magazines and other various media.
  5. Knowledge of photography, videography, and computerized applications related to the communications field (i.e. layout software packages and presentation programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva etc.)
  6. Knowledge of Social Media such as web design, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and its appropriate use for disseminating business information and announcements.

Salary range begins at $50,000, adjusted commensurate with qualifications and experience.
