Start Date: 2019-2020 school year

The Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center is looking for the following individuals to join our team for the upcoming school year.

 

Director of Information Technology

 

Specific Requirements:

·       Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting the IT needs within a school setting.

·       Associate’s Degree in a related field of study.

·       Experience having managed GSuite.

·       Ability to monitor the technology requirements for the center to include all networking equipment/access, infrastructure, servers, wireless systems, network security and voice applications.

·       Develop and manage a technology plan and annual budget.

·       Manage the center’s LMS in collaboration with the CTE Director of Programs and CTE Director of Curriculum, Professional Development, and Student Services.

·       Documented ability to work effectively with administrators, teachers, and support staff in a team-oriented environment.

·       Possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Preferred:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study

·       Google App Administrator Certification

·       GSuite Cloud Certification

·       Supervisory experience

·       Fluency in English/Spanish

 

Information Technology Specialist

 

Specific Requirements:

·       Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting IT systems.

·       Associate’s Degree in a related field of study.

·       Ability to resolve hardware/software challenges.

·       Ability to troubleshoot computer/networking operating systems.

·       Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP.

·       Ability to manage network security, email systems, Internet access, and Office Suite.

·       Ability to run and terminate data cables.

·       Possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Preferred:

·       Supervisory experience

·       Fluency in English/Spanish

 

 

Automotive Technology Teacher

 

Full-time (187 Days); Tenure Track Position

 

Trade-Related Requirements:

·       Minimum of 5 years’ trade experience in all phases of the modern auto repair field, with emphasis on the latest technology to include:

o   Suspensions and Steering; Electrical and Electronic Systems; Engine Performance; Engine Repair; Automatic Transmissions and Transaxles; Manual Drive Train and Axles; Heating and Air Conditioning

·       ASE or Automotive Manufacturer Specific Certifications

 

 

 

 

3D Manufacturing Teacher

 

Part-time (187 Days); Half-Days; Tenure Track Position

 

NOTE:  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence student enrollments, resulting in the program returning to full-day status at the start of school year 2020-2021

 

Trade-Related Requirements:

·       Minimum of 5 years of documentable employment to include experience with:

o   Blueprint Reading; Bench Work; Metallurgy; All Manual and CNC Machine Operation; CNC Programming.

·       NIMS Certifications Preferred

 

 

 

Additional Requirements for Teaching Positions

 

       Specific:

·       High School Diploma.

·       Willingness and ability to obtain an initial emergency-level certificate and complete all necessary steps toward obtaining permanent teacher’s certification through the PA Department of Education. 

·       A desire to work with and motivate high school students.

·       A desire to develop relationships and partnerships with business and industry.

·       Management and oversight of classroom materials, equipment, and facility.

·       Knowledge of computers and software applications.

·       Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred:

·       Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study.

·       Supervisory experience.

·       Fluency in English/Spanish.

 

 

 

Special Education Instructional Assistants

 

The Instructional Assistant supports the learning process of the students by assisting the regular teacher through hands-on activities with the students in their instructional programs

 

Special Education -

 

Specific Requirements:

·       Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with secondary age students required

·       Bachelor’s Degree in education and Special Education certification preferred

 

General Requirements:

·       Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills

·       Assist special needs students with written assignments, tests, comprehending written technical data and performing services as a “side-by-side” supporter

·       Fluency in English/Spanish preferred   

 

 

Substitute Teachers

 

Specific Requirements:

 

  • Substitute teachers required for all 30 program areas supported by the Center.  Ideal candidates may be certified secondary education teachers, retired CTE teachers and classroom aides, and individuals with extensive work experience who can demonstrate the capacity to support student skill attainment within the Center’s programs (see www.rmctc.org for program listing).  

 

 

Part-Time Cafeteria Aide

 

Specific Requirements:

 

  • 3.5 hours per day (10:00 AM – 1:30 PM) for 180 days in accordance with the school calendar.  Duties include Placing liners in trash receptacles, bagging/tying trash bags, taking trash to the dumpster, washing tables/chairs, sweeping floors and mopping as required.

·       Pass a physical and drug screen test
