Allied Health Teacher (CIP 51.9999), beginning for the 2019-2020 School Year


The successful candidate will possess a Pennsylvania Department of Education State Certification in Health-Related Technology (CIP 51.9999) OR an RN License in PA with a minimum total of four years of nursing experience; at least 1 year in Long Term Care and 3 years in Acute Care.

Candidate must meet OBRA requirements to teach Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program as approved by the PA Department of Education.

Candidate must be knowledgeable in a variety of areas associated with health occupations such as health and medical services, pharmaceutical and medical instruments and supplies; medical terminology; anatomy and physiology; legal, ethical and economic aspects of health care; clinical laboratory procedures; basic health occupational skills; aseptic techniques; OSHA regulations; and infection control; nursing assistant; medical assisting and unit clerk.

We seek a highly organized, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who has experience working with teenagers, patients and nursing home residents.
