Octorara Area School District is seeking qualified candidates for their newly created K-12 Technology Integration Specialist. It is a year round administrative position with regionally competitive salary and benefits that will begin effective July 1, 2019.
Description:
The K-12 Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) will improve the integration of classroom/instructional technology at all grade levels. The TIS will collaborate with the Director of Technology and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in the areas of organizing and supervising training activities, helping establish technology policies, and proposing learning objectives for staff as they relate to the District technology plan. The primary focus of the TIS is to assist in the transformation of teaching and learning from traditional teaching and learning environments to 21st century teaching and learning environments by strengthening the technology integration skills of students, teachers, staff, and administrators. The ideal candidate should work well with others, have a background in instructional design, and have clear goals and strategies for integrating technology into instruction.
Qualifications:
Five years of successful teaching experience, an earned Master’s Degree, experience and/or background in instructional technology integration, administrative certification, an understanding of key learning theories and methods of instruction and their relation to technology integration, familiarity with teaching and learning in a 1:1 mobile device setting, experience with effective technology teaching strategies, and experience in facilitating professional learning. The ideal candidate should also be willing to obtain a PA Instructional Coaching Endorsement.
