 The Upper cks Bucks County Technical School (UBCTS) is currently seeking an experienced, student-centered, highly qualified leader to fill the position of Assistant Director. Applications for this position must be submitted on, or before, March 1, 2019.

The UBCTS is known for achieving excellence through a commitment and dedication to every student, every staff member, every program, every day.

 UBCTS proudly serves over 700 students from grades 9–12 in the Palisades, Pennridge and Quakertown Community school districts of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Over 20 programs are offered covering industries including Advanced Manufacturing, Agriculture, Arts and Communications, Construction, Health Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism, Law and Public Safety, and Transportation. As a strong member of the community, UBCTS also provide a wide variety of adult education classes.

Position Requirements
• Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Vocational Administrative Director Certificate required*
• Graduate Degree (Master's Degree) in an Education-Related Field
• A demonstrated record of teaching and educational leadership in Career and Technical Education to include:
                -Supervising and managing personnel
                -Developing and implementing curricula and programs
                -Fiscal responsibility
• A valid driver’s license

* The applicant may be currently enrolled in a valid, approved Pennsylvania Vocational Administrative Director certification program, with Pennsylvania Department of Education Vocational Administrator Director Certification issued within one year of hire.

Data Driven: Experience in utilizing data to support decisions will be shown as it relates to advancing student performance, driving curriculum growth and changes, and enhancing student outreach.

Superior Communicator: This highly visible representative of UBCTS will utilize their engaging and vibrant personality to support collaboration and growth while welcoming, and encouraging, new ideas and discussions from all students, staff, and community members.

Strong Leader: The new Assistant Director needs to be an innovative, highly organized, and detail-oriented leader dedicated to the long-term success of UBCTS. This should be clearly visible in their level of commitment to developing new programs, leading teams, supervising staff, and overseeing professional development programs.
