POSITION OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT

TYPE: Instructional Technology Specialist Full-time Position

START: Fall 2018
LOCATION: Lehigh Career & Technical Institute, 4500 Education Park Drive, Schnecksville, PA 18078
CONTRACT: Salary, benefits, and conditions per current negotiated agreement between the LCTI Joint Operating Committee and the LCTI Education Association.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess Valid Level II PA Teaching Certification; Must possess/obtain Instructional Tech Spec certificate
2. Master’s Degree in instructional technology or related discipline preferred; Experience as a career and technical education teacher preferred with minimum 5 years teaching experience
3. Knowledge of PA state standards, curriculum and content; High level performance in a team environment
4. Ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, IT staff, and sending district personnel
5. Knowledge of researched-based instructional strategies, conditions of learning, and assessment driven instruction; Experience in academic and CTE integration
6. Possess strong organizational/interpersonal/communication and outstanding presentation/facilitation skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide curricular advisement on the application of instructional technology into curricular planning and instructional design to the administrative team. Develop/maintain a technology plan. Monitor and report student achievement. Assist teachers, through observation/co-teaching/modeling/ and planning, to engage students in learning by incorporating instructional technology into planned lessons. Model and co-teach in classrooms as a means to demonstrate specific instructional techniques and strategies, model best practices, assist teachers to develop effective lesson plans and materials that integrate technology to improve student achievement. Facilitate professional development for teachers in the use of technical applications…etc.
