Position available July 1, 2018
The GACTC seeks a new Executive Director with appropriate experience working in a progressive Career and Technical (CTE) environment serving both High School Students and Adult Learners. The successful candidate should be prepared to demonstrate:
• Effective organizational ability, communication skills, grant writing expertise, and leadership embracing continuous improvement
• A vision for further advancing CTE throughout the Workforce Investment Area, especially Altoona and Blair County
• An ability to further cultivate relationships with local business and industry as well as all stakeholders in the school-community across eight sponsoring districts
• A commitment to data driven and research based decision making
• A focus on safety and school security
The Executive Director oversees all administrative, instructional and support personnel of the school. The person elected to this position will assume responsibility for planning, directing and evaluating all state approved secondary programs as well as adult and post -secondary programs.
The position requires a valid PA Vocational Director Certificate and/or Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility. Master’s degree in education or a related field is required; doctorate in workforce education preferred.
