Program

Quality career and technical education is an essential part of America's workforce development system. The challenges of assuring a high quality system which meets the needs of students and employers are many. This conference will focus on providing career and technical education leaders with the information and skills to help them meet those challenges. In addition to outstanding general session speakers, participants will be able to choose from a variety of small group sessions. An additional resource available to conference participants will be a commercial exhibit area.

Date and Location

Career and Technical Education: Leadership for Success is being held July 25-27, 2007 at the Nittany Lion Inn in State College. Registration for the conference will begin at 11 a.m. on July 25. The first conference session will begin on July 25 at 1:30 p.m. A pre-conference golf tournament will also be held on July 25 beginning at 7:30 a.m. The conference will conclude on July 27 at Noon.

Call for Presenters

In addition to featuring outstanding general session speakers, a number of small group workshops and presentations will be offered. The small group presentations provide an opportunity for you to share your successful programs and practices with colleagues. All presentation proposals should relate to the conference theme. Workshops will be one or two hours in length. Members are encouraged to work with colleagues from other institutions to plan workshops. All small group workshops/presentations will be scheduled on July 26.

Please complete the form and return it no later than May 25 to the address listed on the form if you are interested in presenting at the conference. Don't miss this opportunity to share your experiences and expertise with your colleagues.

Registration

The early bird registration fee for participants who register by July 13 is $215. A late fee of $25 will be charged for registrations received after July 13. The registration fee includes conference expenses and materials, the Opening Barbecue/Picnic on July 25, lunch on July 26, continental breakfasts and refreshment breaks.

Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved for conference participants at a special rate of $104 per night single occupancy or $114 per night double occupancy. Individuals are responsible for making reservations for hotel accommodations. Identify yourself as part of the PACTA group when making reservations and refer to reservation identification number PAV0725. Make your reservations by June 23. Reservations made after that date will be on an as available basis at regular rates.
